Golf & Go-Carts!

So, the boys now each have their own set of clubs. I'm not sure who loves golf more, Cade or Reid. Both beg to go to the driving range on a daily and every other day, they beg to play "real golf." I don't think I have a future Tiger on my hands, but they can hit it pretty straight and they LOVE the game! There is a driving range near our house that is next to a miniture golf cours, batting cages and go-carts. This summer was the first time Cade was brave enough to drive by himself. He was so proud...the second time he ever rode, he told me that the cars were too slow and he has a need for speed! School starts in a few weeks! YEA ME!

4th of July, Texas Style

We took our annual trip to Texas to celebrate the 4th of July. We always go to PawPaw & Nonna's (Peyton's Dad & Step-Mom) house for the 4th. This was the first year without our sweet Nonna, but we shared fun memories of her. We had several days full of BBQ, Golf, swimming, Golf, beer, Golf, fireworks, an air show, and did I say Golf? It is always tons of fun. There is a parade through the country club to kick off the celebration. The boys and I rented a jet ski while the big boys played golf one day, Reid fell asleep on the jet ski...I think he's the only one in history to ever do that. He was snuggled in between me and Cade and just fell asleep! Pictured in the group photo on location in PawPaw's backyard oasis, is Peyton's step-brother Hank, his wife Kim and their little one's Knox (1) and Kenna (2 wks)....yep it can happen! Peyton, Jenny, Cade (7) and Reid (4 1/2). Peyton's Dad, his Sister Whitney, her husband Britt and their little one's Ford (2) and Baby Girl due in November! We just keep on growing.

Cade's 7th Birthday

I can't believe my little guy is 7! CRAZY! He is so big too! He wanted a swim party, so we had it at the new YMCA water park pool. He had a blast with all his buddies. The party was over, but we were staying to swim for a while. Cade was getting out of the water and slipped and busted his chin open. So we spent the afternoon at the ER getting 4 stitches! He was so brave and did great! He got to go camping that night with his buddy Karis and the dad's. The next morning Reid and I surprised him with a new bike...turning 7 was a pretty good time for Cade!
