Rock Stars!

I took the boys to get hair cuts this afternoon. We go to the place where it costs me like 5 bucks! Well, that place also has colored hair gel and the kids spotted it last time we were in there, but showed little interest...well this time, they went straight to it like it was candy! So, my theory is if it can wash out, let them get it out of their system now and hopefully I won't have a teenager show up someday with purple hair! It does wash out, I made them prove it to me! Reid was adament that he did not want any spikes in his hair...so the lady just did some red streaks! The boys have also saved their money to buy roller blades, Reid decided on roller skates. It was pretty funny watching them get started! We need lots of practice!

Camping with Daddio!

It is now a tradition that Cade and Karis get to go camping on their birthdays every year. Cade's in June and Karis' in August. This last time they took a canoe trip and then camped out at Montgomery Bell State Park. They had so much fun. We think we finally got rid of the last chigger...YUK!

Cade a Future X-Gamer?

Well, I don't think we have to worry about the X-Games yet, these tricks are a far cry from jumps and back flips. But, Cade has now mastered the art of riding without training wheels. It took him all of one day to get up the nerve to pop-a-wheely and hop the curb! We've only had two spills and not too bad thank goodness! He was so impressed with himself!

Sunday Afternon Bike Ride!

We threw the bikes in the back of the truck and went to a parking lot near my office. Cade is working on riding without training wheels on a larger bike and Reid inherited Cade's old bike. Reid said "Yee-Haw, Man I can fly on this thing!" Cade took one pretty good spill, but hopped back on and kept going...my PawPaw would be proud, he got right back on that horse after it bucked him off!

Home Church!

We decided to sleep in this morning and have Church at home. So Cade and Reid decided they would plan church. Cade was the preacher and found a Bible Story to read. He choose David and Goliath. Reid was the song leader and he had us sing Jesus Loves the Little Children and Blue Skies and Rainbows...lets just say we will not be able to make our living as a family singing group! Then they both prepared communion for us...Reid said "I'll get the body and Cade, you get the blood!" They told us in their words what the triscut and fruit punch they got represented. Reid said a prayer for the body and then passed it around the room. Cade followed with the blood...it was very sweet! The best little 15 minute Church service I've ever been a part of!

Zoo Time!

Peyton took the boys to the Zoo on Sunday afternoon, so they had a big weekend! He said this is what Cade's hair looks like when he wakes up in the morning. I went to boot my computer at my office this morning and this was the photo on my desktop...I almost jumped out of my chair!

RIVER RATS!

Peyton and Cade had their first Father-Son Canoe Trip with some of the other guys from church on Saturday. They had a blast! Cade told me he is running behind the rock in this picture, so you can't see him, but he's on the tree waiting for the rope swing in the next shot! Reid and I had a fun day too...bowling, putt-putt, and go-carts!
