Baby Audrey is here!

Praise God she is here and mom and baby are fine! It was a little scary for a bit, but thanks to God, the wonderful nurses at Centennial and Dr. Wingo, we have a healthy baby girl. We found out she was breech and decided to go in Wednesday, October 7th to try and turn her. The ultrasound showed she had turned on her own, so we thought we were good for natural labor, yea! The doctor broke my water and labor began. Things were progressing right along until her heart rate began to drop with each contraction. Her heart rate would go from 150 down to 45 or 50...scary! They put an oxygen mask on me and that didn't help. The nurse wanted me to go ahead and get an epidural just in case I needed to have a C-Section....WHAT? I thought we were in the clear? Once I got the epidural my blood pressure began to drop. It went as low as 50/30...I felt like I was going somewhere...all of a sudden there were 10 people in my room and I was being rolled out the door and down to the OR for an emergency C-Section. Since I had the epidural I was able to stay awake...Baby Audrey was born a few minutes later. The cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times and her shoulder once, which explains why her heart rate dropped with each contraction. Thank Goodness for C-Sections...or what was a great day in our life could have very easily been a tragic one. Audrey was taken to the nursery and I was put back together and taken back to my room. Audrey was brought to us a little while later. Mom and Baby were just fine!

Flag Football - Cade

Cade wanted to try Flag Football this year! He says it's his favorite sport so far. He had his first game today and did great!

Fall Baseball - Reid

Reid has decided he LOVES Baseball! He wanted to play again this fall. He's on a different team than he was in the spring, but with some of the same boys. It's real baseball this time though...3 strikes and you are out...no more swinging until you hit it!

First Day of School!

So the boys started school today! Reid’s first day of Kindergarten! For the elementary school at CPA all the moms and dads park and walk the kids into school, take them to their classrooms etc. Reid informed me on the way to school this morning that he just wanted me to pull up to the front door and drop him off. WHAT? He’s my baby going to kindergarten! Anyway, we negotiated that I could drop them off, then go park and come in for a minute. Cade informed me that I was not to embarrass him by trying to take a picture with him and his teacher, so I got one of Reid and Mrs. Cline and then a picture of the back of Cade’s head sitting at his desk! I finally wiped up the tears enough to go to the office for a bit until time to pick them up at 11:30 (half day first day)! They had a great day!

Karis' 8th Birthday

A Hannah Montana party at My Gym! Cade and Reid had a great time and did their best to eat off pink plates! Reid was not too happy about it!

Gulf Shores Trip

My sister-in-law Steffanie and I decided we wanted to make a beach trip with our boys before the summer was over. So, we met in Gulf Shores, Alabama and had a blast! The boys LOVED the beach! It was Cade & Reid's first trip to the beach! And they always love being with their cousins Cole & Cooper! They loved playing in the waves on their boogie boards...well at least until they got bit by jellyfish. Reid got bit pretty bad...it was quite the chaos for a bit, thank goodness a nice lady on the beach had a squirt bottle full of amonia to take out the sting. Cade got bit several different times, but not as bad...it was the last bite that kept him out of the ocean for good. Reid stayed pretty close to shore after his encounter! All in all, they said they love the beach and can't wait to go back.
